“Almost thirty years later, German society had not yet recovered morally—as both thinkers again made clear.”

Is it going to take that long for the Branch Covidians to come to their senses?

One wonders!

Why thank you, Jay! It's all the more appreciated coming from the best thread-tweeter (and likely gardener) I know over at X.

Amusingly, I had my son's 21 year old, UVic Hons Poli Sci student girlfriend read it and then take a look at your bio.

"She has my dream job...I speak German...and totalitarianism. Does Jodi ever come to Victoria?"

If you ever do, let me know. The garden may be tamed and you have a serious fan girl who, while suffering from UVic Poli Sci wokeness, is actually pretty smart.

That's excellent! She could go far (in political theory at least) as a smart girl with German. I'm actually preparing a 3rd year poli sci course right now; that's why I hauled out the Arendt again.

I don't get out to Victoria often these days but may well next year. In the meantime, if she wants to call sometime about grad school, she could for sure.

It's hard to know what to do with oneself after finishing a Poli Sci undergrad.
